Valencia general director Mateu Alemany has warned Paris Saint-Germain to speed up the loan of Goncalo Guedes to the club or risk the deal collapsing.
The clubs have reached agreement for the Portugal international winger to join on a season-long loan.
But the move has not been completed, with PSG reportedly waiting to sign Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe before allowing Guedes to leave.
“We have to sign a minimum of two players. Guedes is one of them and we are negotiating,” Alemany told Movistar +.
“It not only depends on Mbappe but on the rest of the PSG players that are on their way out or on their way in, and we have to follow this crossword.
“It’s true that we cannot wait indefinitely for that situation to clarify itself as time is running out. I think, in the next few hours, things will become clearer.”
Guedes, 20, has made just one Ligue 1 start for PSG since joining from Benfica in January.
Meanwhile, new Valencia coach Marcelino praised his side’s performance in their 2-2 draw at Real Madrid on Sunday.
He told Cadena Ser radio: “The team is creating a solid base as well as building a collective spirit and that makes us very optimistic looking ahead.
They were denied victory only by an 82nd-minute goal from Madrid’s Marco Asensio, who had also opened the scoring.
“We know what he is capable of,” Marcelino said. “He was sensational, crucial, despite his youth.
“He has proved that he is a great footballer. I believe he can mark an era at Real Madrid and in Spanish football.”
Valencia resume their La Liga campaign after the international break with a home game against Atletico Madrid on Sept. 9.
